Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to compare rates and complete a swap, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.

Our commitment

RateSwap aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, which is the standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act and by Dutch public guidance. We test new pages against that target, but we do not claim a formal audit or certification — this statement describes what we aim for and what we know.

What we do

Semantic headings and landmarks, keyboard access to every control including the swap flow and the asset selector, visible focus outlines, text contrast at AA or better, touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels, and no content that depends on colour alone.

Language and direction

Every page is published in nine languages at its own address, with the correct language attribute and full right-to-left support for Arabic.

Motion

Animations are decorative only, and are reduced automatically when your system asks for reduced motion.

Known limitations

Rate data refreshes automatically every 20 seconds, which some screen reader users may find frequent; the values are also announced politely rather than interrupting. Some blog articles are currently available in English only.

Report an accessibility problem

If something on this site blocks you, tell us through the support form and choose "Accessibility problem", or message us on Telegram. Describe the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within 5 working days and to fix confirmed blocking issues as a priority.
